Commercial Analyst, Natural Gas

A key Optimus client is hiring a Natural Gas Commercial Analyst in their Houston, TX office.
This position will support supporting the supply, scheduling, and trading of natural gas, power, butane, as well as further commodity market research.
Responsibilities:
Performing gas scheduling functions related to accurate and timely pipeline nominations.
Communicate and coordinate with all-natural gas counterparties to ensure all gas volumes are purchased or sold and scheduled properly, timely (within the respective Nomination Cycles), accurately, and with minimal imbalances Perform market research and analysis on the natural gas, power, and NGL markets and assist and support the Corporate Strategy team in providing updates to Senior Management Work with the Gas Scheduler and Gas Settlement Accountant(s) regarding invoice procedures and invoice adjustments and assist in the resolution of pipeline statements, invoices, and billing discrepancies to ensure proper recording in both the ETRM and accounting systems Communicate with individual team members, including front, middle, and back office teams, to resolve contractual issues, including volume and price discrepancies, as appropriate Assist with the management of the physical energy commodity supply and market requirements (natural gas, power, butane) This position requires working before/after regular office hours including some work on holidays and/or weekends.
Required
Experience:
Bachelor's degree Minimum 2-5 years in a trading, scheduling, structuring, or market analysis role related to natural gas Experience working with trading systems (ETRM) and EBB systems (Gulf South and/or Transco) Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create interpersonal rapport and business relationships both internally and externally Tagged:
