Senior Risk Analyst

A key Optimus client is seeking an experienced professional in risk and controls to focus on reporting the trade activity around refined products trading.
Position
Responsibilities:
Delivering daily reports calculating MTM and Position Identifying, calculating and reporting factors impacting portfolio value and position change Monitoring control policies for the portfolio as well as authority limits and other exposures for trading Developing and reporting on MTM versus actualized profitability and its change or variance components Assisting accounting and other teams as necessary to ensure proper invoicing, trade settlement and performance forecasting Assisting in reconciling intercompany transactions and structured deals across books as necessary Developing and mentoring other team members while also providing work product direction Requirements:
Commodities risk understanding including strong knowledge of refined products Risk reporting and controls knowledge including significant exposure to both physical and financial transactions Flash to Actual or other variance analysis Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a similar discipline - an advanced degree a plus MS Excel required and experience with other technologies such as SQL, R or Python a plus Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to provide direction to others Tagged:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
