Trade Control Analyst

A key Optimus client is seeking a highly skilled Trade Control Analyst to oversee trade control operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage risks, and lead a team of trade control professionals.
This role requires strong knowledge of trade operations, risk management, regulatory requirements, and effective leadership abilities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement trade control policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance and detect unauthorized trading activities.
Identify, assess, and mitigate trading risks across asset classes, collaborate with risk management teams, and develop contingency plans.
Support trade confirmations desk, perform trade reconciliations, generate transaction confirmations, and reconcile FCM positions.
Setup various items in trade system and reconcile broker fees and FCM fees.
Track key performance metrics related to DOA and risk limits.
Document processes for controls and other risk functions using Vizio.
Drive continuous process improvement and system development in line with industry best practices.
Undertake ad hoc projects, including position limit monitoring.
Utilize a contract centralized depository system to establish reporting and search parameters.
Maintain constant interaction with commercial, legal, ICE, FCMs, exchanges, management, and counterparties.
Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing timely responses to inquiries.
Act as a team member and adhere to all policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field, with advanced degrees or professional certifications preferred.
Minimum 7 years of trade control or trade operations experience in financial institutions.
In-depth knowledge of financial instruments, trading practices, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven leadership skills, analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Proficiency in trade control systems and technologies, with experience in process optimization.
Familiarity with international trade regulations and sanctions regimes is a plus.
Adaptable to changing regulatory environments and able to make informed decisions.
Track record of fostering compliance culture, integrity, and professionalism.
Strong project management, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality and data protection standards.
