Senior Market Compliance Analyst -Nat Gas, Power, LNG
A key Optimus energy trading client is looking for a Sr Market Compliance Analyst (Nat Gas, Power & LNG experience preferred) to monitor the external market and surveil internal transactions and communications to help ensure compliance with market rules and regulations.

Requirements:
Strong understanding of Energy Trading (Natural Gas, Power, Liquefied Natural Gas,) operations, trade practices and associated risk management activities including physical and financial transactions used in the industry and how such trading activities may interact to create the appearance of market manipulation Detailed knowledge of industry laws, regulations, and standards applicable to Energy Trading, and experience with regulatory analysis related to trading activities.
Demonstrated experience with the CFTC's Division of Enforcement and the FERC's Office of Enforcement and their views on market manipulation Ability to prioritize job requirements in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment Ability to problem-solve, think critically, and make sound, firm recommendations Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify and resolve complex and sensitive regulatory issues Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel (advanced), Outlook) Experience with industry tools and technologies (CubeWatch/SMARTS/Whistler/Fairwords/MS Power Query/Alteryx) Proven communication and presentation skills, oral and written, with ability to communicate with a variety of individuals and personalities both internal and outside the organization Ability to work with a team, take directions from supervisor, focus attention on the details Per our client's specifications, candidates are required to be US Citizens, Green Card holders, or independently authorized to work in the US.
