Operations Accountant
Job Description:
We have a Key Optimus Client who is looking for a staff/operation Accountant at multiple levels to join their team! The role of Staff/Operation Accountant, Operations Accounting involves collaborating with the Manager, Operations Accounting and Senior Accountant, Operations Accounting to support internal clients and assist in gathering operational-related information for reporting financial results.
The Staff/Operation Accountant will have the chance to learn about the organization's liquefaction operation and utilize that knowledge for cash forecasting and financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
Responsibilities include recording financial transactions, updating forecasts, and participating in projects, while working in a supportive team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES Calculate and enter monthly accrual and correction or adjustment in journal entries in the organization's ERP system.
Assist in completing monthly analyses by comparing actual balances to budget/forecasted figures, and conduct research to ensure accuracy, validity, and comprehension of financial activity.
Perform monthly account reconciliations for assigned accounts and ensure proper presentation of balances.
Obtain information from other departments to comprehend non-recurring financial transactions, as required.
Aid in forecasting and analyzing project and departmental costs using the organization's Hyperion forecasting database and system.
Contribute to special projects by providing information to management and addressing specific inquiries.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
Preferred qualifications include an active CPA certification or working towards certification completion.
Experience in Corporate Accounting and functions such as but not limited to (project accounting, external auditing, forecasting and budgeting) Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with Oracle v12 ERP system Experience with Hyperion Essbase/Smartview and Hyperion Planning Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and along team members Strong multitasking skills in a highly dynamic environment Capability to interact with individuals at all levels of management Tagged:
