As a member of the Advanced Process Control (APC) Product Management team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the development of product roadmaps, product strategy, solution and business planning for our core markets (refining and chemicals) in addition to evaluating opportunities in non-core markets. You will work closely with our R department and collaborate with many other product management teams in order to maximize the synergies with other products and the value from combined solutions. Embedding AI is a key mandate in our APC products and this is a great opportunity to participate in the emerging market of AI, Machine Learning and Deep Learning applications and be part of a fast-growing company that is on the leading edge of the Industrial AI.Your ImpactConvert customer business problems and cases into detailed product requirements to assist Research & Development (R) in accurately building high-impact products and features. Create and deliver various technical materials, primarily targeted at Solution Consulting, Customer Support, Training and Services, to ensure overall company readiness for product releases. Champion the product vision and strategy, exhibiting good product judgement, continuously setting clear and measurable objectives, and monitoring the product's progression to achieve these.Interact with stakeholders to ensure the success of the product.Translate the data gathered to build a case for decisions presented in the roadmap.Communicate this strategy to all the relevant participants and stakeholders.Support Product Management leadership in the areas of pricing and licensing strategies for the product.When launching new products, identify early adopters, work with them in beta utilizing evaluation licenses to encourage adoption, development of reference accounts, scaling field support to further encourage and drive adoption so that we can cross the chasm. Work closely with customers and R to define functional architecture and processes to maximize product value through effective design and documentation (functional/business value, usability, manageability, guided help, etc.). Interface with customers and R during the product planning and design phases to create product requirements documents from business and product requirements. Work with customers to create business process flow diagrams, user scenarios and usage storyboards as the basis for designing new products and features including, where appropriate, interfaces to third party systems. Augment QA test cases with the user perspective to verify features produce results as designed. Perform and document user-level testing to ensure all product functions work as designed. Review and approve user/product/install/upgrade test plans, testing, and product documentation. Act as primary feedback liaison with customers for pre-release alpha and beta programs. Develop and deliver technical sales, professional services, customer support and customer training materials and assists with rollout activities. Deliver detailed competitive analysis for products. Provide secondary support to Solution Consultants and Professional Services. Develop product demonstrations to be used by the field sales teams. Develop and deliver technical content for user group sessions, customer advisory boards, leaders clubs, white papers, etc. Prioritize the roadmap deliverables and secure required development resources to ensure timely delivery of those roadmap items.Track roadmap execution plan accordingly and teams' alignment around implementation trade-offs that might be required.What You'll NeedThe ideal candidate has a good business acumen, is at ease in speaking both technical and business languages and has strong knowledge of Advanced Process Control - field experience of Advanced Process Control implementation is an advantageBachelor's degree in chemical engineering. A Master's degree (or Ph.D.) is an advantageTen years of industry experience. Marketing, Development, Business Management a plusMust have knowledge of software and product design, user interface design, storyboarding, focus groups, product requirements documentation, product requirements gathering. Must have strong knowledge of Advanced Process Control and knowledge of the Aspen APC software. Experienced in strategic and operational planning, market analysisWell-developed skills in the areas of organizing, prioritizing, negotiating, and communication.Remain up to date with the latest Machine Learning technologies . Understanding of model identification, advanced control, and optimization techniques.Ability to rationalize design decisions in a clear and objective manner, and challenge engineering teams to produce their best work.Proven business acumen with ability to translate business objectives to application/architecture requirements.At ease with business case development, ROI, and margin analysis.Ability to translate technical challenges into business related impacts.Product marketing knowledge, including product messaging and go-to-market strategies would be an advantage.Must be decisive, demonstrate sound judgment, and be self-directed, highly motivated, and detail oriented.Must work collaboratively with all levels and functions within Company's Marketing, Product Marketing, R, Solution Consulting, Sales and Corporate functions / organizations.You will have excellent analytical skills, highly articulate and clear speaking and writing skills and ability to build rapport with stakeholders.You will want to be part of a team and contribute to the success of the team, bringing industry best practices into the product workflows.Ability to navigate complex organizations, entities, partners, and vendor ecosystems and maintain health connect with multiple task teams.Great problem solver - who can think through problems and develop solutions quickly.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Brand Marketing & Management, Marketing Research & AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
